Top Things We Accomplished in 2018

Takeshi Eto Happy new year everyone! Another year has gone by. I usually end the year with a list of accomplishments but was not able to publish the list until now. Here is my annual Top list for accomplishments for 2018.

Grew our Managed Services Business
Over the years, we have quietly hosted some fully-managed Private Cloud environments for a few partners but in my 2017 Top Accomplishments post, I made a public mention of these services. Over the year we’ve seen many customers whose business had grown successfully on the Everleap platform to a point where they started to outgrow Everleap or needed more services not supported on Everleap’s “shared cloud” platform. For these customers, we offer our decades of experience architecting and operating hosting infrastructure to build and manage their business IT infrastructure and provide high level of support – which could include consulting, infrastructure right-sizing, DBA services, high-availability environments, customized backup solutions, and server and application monitoring.

If you have mission critical applications then reach out to us and we can discuss your needs and how we can help.

Prepared for GDPR
A new EU framework for privacy, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect in May 2018. We worked to make sure we were ready to adhere to the requirements of the GDPR and updated our policies and procedures.

Renewed EU-US Privacy Shield and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Certification
With the help of our privacy management solutions partner, TrustArc, we renewed our  EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield certifications. Because there is no official GDPR certification, we thought it was important for us to work on the renewal of the Privacy Shield Frameworks as we could obtain official Privacy Shield certifications through TrustArc and continue to demonstrate our commitment to customer privacy.

Renewed our Microsoft Partner Status
Every year we work to renew our Microsoft Partnership status. In 2018, we renewed our Microsoft Partner status with the Silver Datacenter competency.

Continued Supporting the Developer Community
As we’ve done for the past 15 years, we continue our support for the developer community through event sponsorship and complimentary hosting. Here are some of the sponsorships for 2018:  Houston TechFest 2018, Code Camps (Southern California, Orlando) and  GiveCamps (Pittsburgh, Southwest Ohio, Dallas).

If you run a Usergroup or organize a developer event, please feel free to reach out to us to see how we may be able to work together.

Moved Into our New Office
During 2016-2017, we moved our physical office twice to a temporary locations in Monrovia, California, while we built out a new office space. We finally moved into our new office space in 2018. The entire process has been quite disruptive but we are finally moved into our new space!

Now onward to 2019!
