Everleap Attains Microsoft Silver Partner for 2017-2018

Takeshi EtoEverleap successfully renewed our Microsoft Partnership for 2017 – this time with the Silver Datacenter competency.

We invest our time and resources every year to meet the requirements that Microsoft sets for their Microsoft Partner Network program. We do this to demonstrate our commitment to staying on top of Microsoft technologies, and to maintain access to Microsoft resources that are only available to partners.

Everleap Supports MVP Reconnect

Calvin WongEverleap is supporting the new Microsoft MVP Reconnect program by offering free cloud hosting services to members.

Microsoft has long had a Most Valuable Professional (MVP) program to honor top technology experts for their contributions to their communities.

Introducing Private MySQL Hosting

Takeshi EtoWe’re excited to announce the availability of Private MySQL Hosting at Everleap.

This new premium MySQL solution will provide you with your own private MySQL server that is not shared with any other customer. Your MySQL databases will get access to all of the disk space, CPU and RAM on the virtual machine. And similar to all of our other hosting services, it is fully managed. MySQLWe will handle all the server updates and security at no additional cost, freeing you to devote your time and resources to your website and web application and not on server maintenance.

Everleap Sponsored AZGroups Scott Guthrie Event

Takeshi EtoAZGroups held an event in January featuring Scott Guthrie himself.

Even though Scott is now insanely busy as the Executive Vice President of the Cloud and Enterprise group at Microsoft, he still takes the time to do these events and code in front of developers in his signature red polo shirt. It’s pretty impressive.

The event was held at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

Everleap Supports Phoenix 2017 Hackathon-of-Help

Calvin WongWe’re supporting the AZ GiveCamp’s Phoenix 2017 Hackathon-of-Help this year by providing life-time free hosting services to participating non-profit organizations. The event brings together over 50 developers, designers and project managers to build websites and web apps for 8 local NPO’s, including Girl Develop It and CommunityCause.org.

We’re very happy to help the cause. This year, the event is being held at the new Galvanze facility. If you’re in the area would like to get involved, check out their MeetUp page. Sleep is optional, meals and caffeine provided.

Everleap Sponsors the 2017 Orlando Code Camp

Calvin WongEverleap is sponsoring the 2017 Orlando Code Camp. The event will be held on April 8th, at Seminole State College in Sanford, Florida. Coming hot on the heels of the South Florida Code Camp, the Orlando Code Camp this year will have 98 presentations for the 600 attendees. There are 74 total speakers, including our old friends Jeffrey Fritz and John Papa. The event is free! If you’re interested in attending, you can register here.

We’re very proud to sponsor the Orlando Code Camp and wish Brian Mishler and the Orlando .NET User Group a great event!

Everleap Sponsors Florida Code Camp 2017

Calvin Wong

We are proudly sponsoring the South Florida Code Camp 2017 this year. The one-day (free!) Geek Fest is being held on March 11, 2017 at the Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Although they’re on the other side of the country from us here in Southern California, we’re always happy to help the developer community nationwide (and sometimes worldwide).

We wish them a great event! If you want to attend the free event, you can register here.

Top 10 things we accomplished in 2016

Takeshi EtoIn keeping with tradition, I’m posting our 2016 Top accomplishments list.

  1. Launched SQL 2016
Microsoft launched their next version of SQL Server so we made it available for Everleap customers. We introduced both Shared SQL 2016 and Managed SQL 2016 solutions.  Some of the new enhancements include temporal tables, query store, stretch database, and native support for JSON.

Everleap Attends SoCal Code Camp 2016

Calvin WongWe sponsored and attended the 2016 SoCal Code Camp on November 12th. We sponsor Code Camp events all over the country every year, but we always look forward to the SoCal event on the USC campus. It’s one of the few events that are local, so we can get out there to meet new and old friends from the Los Angeles developer community.

Here we are during one of the few quiet moments during speaker sessions.

Hattan Shobokshi (pictured above in a red t-shirt) organized a great event! Turnout was awesome this year with lots of new faces amongst the several hundred attendees.

Using Auto Heal to Recycle Your Site

Joseph JunA new feature that we’re introducing with Update Rollup 11 for Windows Azure Pack is Auto Heal. Auto Heal is a monitoring tool and certain actions can be automatically taken when a condition is reached. For example, if your site uses 500 MB of memory, Auto Heal can be configured to recycle the application pool.

Let’s take a look at how to configure Auto Heal to recycle your site if it reaches 1 GB of memory usage.
